On 23 November 2024, in a grand ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria unveiled the official logo of the championship. This milestone moment marked the beginning of preparations for a premier event that promises to put Chandigarh firmly on the map as a destination for world-class golf.

The GMI Golf Championship unfolded in style at Panchkula Golf Course, bringing together professional golfers, enthusiasts, and dignitaries for an extraordinary celebration of the sport. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya graced the event, adding charm and prestige to the championship. The Governor not only inaugurated the tournament but also demonstrated his enthusiasm for golf by taking a ceremonial shot.
